History:

After qualifying from medical school, the then Sue Chandler spent 3 years at London’s Whitechapel Hospital.

Moving on to a surgical, senior house officer post at Addenbrookes Hospital (Cambridge, England), Sue Chandler met her future husband Peter Jacobs, at the time Britain’s leading researcher into cybernetics. Working with him, she perfected the first viable replacement ‘cyber’ limbs and organs, enabling many disabled people to lead normal lives.

When the ‘Hand of Vengeance’ Terrorist Group launched a vicious chemical bomb attack on South East England, Susan Chandler and Peter Jacobs were part of the emergency teams that attended the casualties. Both Chandler and Jacobs received the highest civilian decoration from the government and Sue Chandler accepted the A & E Consultant post at London’s Guys Hospital. Peter Jacobs then proposed to her.

Unfortunately, Peter Jacobs was murdered by a Christian Fundamentalist Group two weeks after the wedding. The ’God’s True Children’ group had protested against The Jacob’s experiments in cybernetics, claiming it made the user’s of such replacement parts inhuman and diminished the purity of their souls. While still shocked by her husband’s death, Sue Jacobs was approached by Barbara York, for the post of Chief Medical Officer for S.P.A.R.T.A.

Jacobs accepted the posting and joined S.P.A.R.T.A. in March 2026.
